Tokyo Marui recently released their line of safety goggles w/ lower face mask call Pro Goggles which retailed for around 3.8k - 4.5k. Not very affordable if you ask me. Good thing people in China can relate with people like me! They release their own version of the Marui Pro Goggles with 1/2 the price! So here is my review of the ACM Pro Goggles:
The Packaging
It is packaged almost exactly like the TM version. It comes with a small cleaning cloth and two triangle foams which can be placed on the inner cheek of the mask via double sided tape. I decided not to place the triangle foam -- I don't think they would be very comfortable especially after they are drenched in sweat.
The Goggles and Mask
It has a very low profile which is good tactical reasons. You wouldn't want your mask sticking farther out than your nose is.
Fitment and Look
The goggles has very good visibility. Peripheral vision is almost at 100%. The lower face mask is big enough to cover the whole face unlike the common sensei / mesh mask.
Another good thing about this mask is that it can be worn with glasses -- for the legally blind airsofters out there.
It can also be worn with Sunglasses -- if the sun is to bright during game play.
The ACM Pro Goggle comes in three different colors...
Matte Black, Coyote Brown and Coyote Brown ;D ;D
Operation and Performance
The fan works like so...
it takes in good cool air from under the eyes and nose area and releases the bad warm air through the fan.. get it? see the illustration on the box.. you'll get it.
Apparently, people from China don't need an instruction manual to figure stuff out because the Pro Goggles did not have one. For the less intelligent people -- How to replace the battery for the fan:
It is operated with 2 AAA batteries:
Testing it point blank with a 420fps gun
Result:
a very small dent...
Retail price Php1500
