Imax is a parallel charger and BHE is a true balance charger. The website of IMAX itself admitted that the compact charger is a parallel charger and detects only the center cell. If the center cell is full the 2 other cells stop charging. One may be slightly overcharged and the other may be slightly undercharged. If the weaker cell gets weaker or if the center cell is the weakest cell then I think we all know what will happen to the poor imabalance-sensitive lipoly battery pack. Full discussion here. acmgames.proboards66.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=battery&thread=1193881698&page=1If you are interested in lipolies and in balance chargers then you owe it to yourself to monitor this thread because what I will be posting are factual information so players can decide wisely. I will not resort to baseless accusations or insinuation like the inaccurate that BHE like IMAX is a parallel charger (BHE is a true balance charger) or that the complex balancing circuits of the BHE and the simple electronic circuits of the IMAX perform the same funtion equally well (IMAX already admitted that their compact charger is not a true balance charger). FACT 1. The BHE lipoly battery is based on the same technolgy behind some big name power tools company in the US that offers 3 year warranty on their lipolies. FACT 2. The company that manufactures BHE lipolies is among the top 10 battery and charger manufacturer in the world. FACT 3. The manufacturer of BHE lipolies supplies the lipolies used in US military drones in Iraq (to power surveillance equipment which cannot afford to fail). FACT 4. BHE intelligent Balance Charger is a true intelligent balance charger. FACT 5. Most low cost lipoly chargers being sold as intelligent or balance chargers are fakes. Maybe the company that produces them does not intend to misrepresent as IMAX itself describes their compact charger as a parallel charger that detects on the charge in the center cell. However, dealers or resellers may have intentionally or accidentally gave false information.

The website of IMAX itself admitted that the compact charger is a parallel charger and detects only the center cell. please post the link supposed to be imax admitted that it's a parallel charger...
i'm still waiting the full specs and brief description from imax maker.... i'll post it here if i got...
as of now i don't want to bothered myself to circuit trace the imax charger... and i am not interested to know...
jojo Senior Electronics Gaming Machine Technician (Malaysian Based Company)edit... ps: 'til now i can't find BHE website brojames. Based of fact 1 to 4...BHE must be a popular brand... I never heard in RC forums... Answer to Fact 5 regarding IMAX: I posted what i saw....what i tested...what i experienced Not from dealer nor from imax website marketing I am an electronic technician... i'm still waiting the full specs and brief description from imax maker.... i'll post it here if i got... Imax has been in the market for quite some time and anyone should easily find its webpage, rights? Try find it first and that of its parent company.
ps: 'til now i can't find BHE website brojames. Based of fact 1 to 4...BHE must be a popular brand... I never heard in RC forums... BHE is a new brand and is not used in R/C yet is being used in airsolft for the first time in the Philippines. The 2100mAh is established in the US though under a different label. If you can't find IMAX's webpage, you will have more trouble finding BHE's because they are not in a hurry t it up for marketing purposes. What BHE is interested in is for people to try and decide for themselves. A webpage is nice but it will say only what the owners want to say, factual or not. Many lipo chargers here have printed or posted higher specs. Sanyo, posted higher mAhs for their batteries. ACMs don't have webpages and more and more people are using them because word of mouth (plus some reviews) are favorable. This is BHE's approach.
You and Jojo are the same? Kasi based on your post you seem to be more objective and neutral and I don't have any problems with that.
I am an electronic technician... Even without circuit tracing i know what function lays beneath the PCB... You may be familiar with PCBs but the email I posted in ACMGAmes is from an engineer (ECE, a masteral degree, and other credentials rom US and Europe). Whether he is connected with BHE or the manufaturer is not important. What is important is his findings and its accuracy. An unbiased person does not necessarily gives an unbiased or better opinion. If I am not feeling well, I'd rather trust a local doctor who is biased as he will be making money from me than an unbiased CPA-lawyer or a Doctor of Philosophy fraom Harvard.
Based on posts under Jojo he(or you) insist that BHE and IMAX perofdrms just the same function and are the same which is misinformation. Regarding Facts 1-4, BHE is still new but yes we believe it will be popular. Based on the post of Jojo(in ACMGAmes) that player's ignorance is the number cause of lipo damage and not the charger, I wish to challenge that assertion.
As to wasting my time. No, I am not. I cannot just leave it as is because I will be doing a disservice to players. Lettling them being lured into believing that their ignorance is the primary cause of all the lipo problems. Standing by and letting them believe that IMAX compact charger is a balance charger and balance the lipo as well as other balance chargers like Novatech, BHE, Viselero, etc.
I hope my post does not offend others and you can take note of all my posts. They are to the best of my knowledge factual and these factual statements includes (And I repeat)
1. BHE intelligent balance charger is a true balance charger the complex parts of which ensures there is not reverse polarity charging, detects bad cells and stop the charging, monitors the charging status every 15seconds, can balance charge a lipoly upto to 69-98% fullo (even 99% full while other great but manual balance chargers like no** can charge only upto 85% full), etc. It is not a parallel charger (many of which are marketed as balance charger like the IMAX compact charger) and players have the right to know the difference.
2. BHE lipoly batteries has an average charge/discharge life cycle of 300-400 cycles although for warranty purpose 200 charge cycles is used. Firefox, 50 average max.
3. BHE 2100mAh is 2100mAh and 12C. FF 2300mAh is 1600-1800mAh and 5C.
4. The simple parts of IMAX compact chargers makes it a simple charger which detects only the center cell and stops charging all cells when that center cell is full. The 2nd cell may be less and the 3rd cell may be more. Whatever, the 3 cells cannot be equal or balance. This is not a balance charger as a balance charger charges all thre cells to the same voltage with mimum variance. BHE 0.01v variance and the complex parts assures this.
I am an electronic technician... Even without circuit tracing i know what function lays beneath the PCB... My job is how to deal with electronics precision equipment for high end electronics casino slot machine(Aristocrat/IGT/AGT/Pacific Games/Konami/etc) x x x I know what i'm talking...i know what i'm posting...
With due respect sir, IMAX itself has admitted its compact charger is a simple parallel charger and this means that it is not a balance charger that you thought it to be. I am not an engineer but as a layman let me sday this: chargers and gaming are very different. I know that chargers are concerned with charging the battery to full and in lipolies balancing them as well. Other issues are preventing overcharging, using the best charging algorithm. etc. In gaming we are dealing with a dumb electronic parts and the intelligent part that makes the gaming alive lies in the software (not the hardware).
I do not wish to dispute your experrtise in your given field but you posted that IMAX compact charger is a balance charger and with the new facts I have at paulit ulit na that IMAX itself says it is only a parallel charger there will be no end to this assertion for so long as there is a need to clarify matters so as players will not be misled. If they want a parallel charger which is cheaper so be it. It is much better than the wall charger which jojo said is not the primary cause of battery "lobo" (which I say is) and I myslef recommend a parallel charger (kung wall charger lang gagamitin).
A FRIENDLY advise... Stop wasting your time comparing the two products brojames... Thanks for the advise but as I said, giving out facts in the face of inaccuracies, mistaken beliefs, false marketing info, etc. is not a waste of time. And I am not comparing the 2. I am differentiating them.
Peace bro.

i just want correct this.... In gaming we are dealing with a dumb electronic parts and the intelligent part that makes the gaming alive lies in the software (not the hardware). Your assumption is absolutely wrong....sorry but i don't want to explain it here....we are not talking here how the machine play... EGM(electonics gaming machine) is highly sensitive device... One static or surge of power can be disastrous to the system... Theres lays the precision UPS powered by Lipoly or li-ion rechargeble battery with maximum lifespan of 10years... EGM runs 24/7, no holidays, no timeout... no power off the main PS even servicing... "Intelligent" hardware now block the error. hardware that no need of software... Not a complex circuit that detect electronics pulse or a voltage... simple as putting zener diode in series of transistor base... Ask pacgor tech the capabilty of PPC tech team... Sayang nalang ang training namin every year sa AUS for evry 6 months new technology na lumalabas...

Board exam lang ang kulang...e saan ko naman gagamitin ang license? Major in electronics ako... ;D So .... as i experienced in road/hiway/buliding/bridge construction as a supervisor... found this one... didn't you know that ordinary carpenter knows everything than license engineeer(with structural lic)... same as in electronics... thanks!

PS. this thread is so technical gosh. ;D ;D

eto maganda sa forums. you get to read different ideas from different people. they may not go in parallel and jive all of the time as with the case above.the good thing is if the airsofter is smart enough, he'd check for himself the veracity of these ideas and get the better part of the deal. But if he's too dumb and too lazy and just takes what the other people are telling him, then problema nya na yon. its his money, his moolah that he's wasting.. nya!

Tested batts previously charged on the IMAX compact charger in my Intelligent/digital/mumbojumbo/gobblegook balancer charger and yes...
all three cells read... 4.2v/4.2v/4.2v. (yung novatech nga ang mas mababa eh... di umabot ng 4.2)
and yes... isa isa(ONE BY ONE) namamatay ung LED lights ng Imax.
Don't be misled by the LARGER number of parts on the PCB or the complexity of the PCB layout sirs. These days, a SINGLE IC can contain the same amount of transistors/resistors/capacitors as a HUGE PCB with surface mounted devices.
As a matter of fact, my current celphone has more "transistors, resistors, capacitors etc" inside it's tiny IC brain than the room-sized Cray Supercomputer from the 70s.
As for the capacity of *other* lipoly brands, these are easily verified by the high-end balancer chargers that have MAH counters as they charge the batteries(like the TLP).
I believe sir Covert Ops has a high end charger with that capability and he will gladly enlighten us on the actual capacities of Firefox and LKT Lipoly batteris.
Ako naman, I don't share my OPINION on technical aspects, only cold hard observable(and repeatable) facts/observations lang.
I welcome new products with gusto and apreciate that a competetive market will help airsofters by bringing out newer/better products at lower prices.

4.2v 4;.2v 3.8v
sira naba ung last cell ko?
or ano ung volt reading if sira na ung isang cell?
if reading is 3.8v 4.2v 2.8v ilang ung sira?
