Open FPS bah kamo? Nice...
Well I suggest you just upgrade to a spring upto 550fps. You can reach 600fps by adding fps inducing parts like tight barrels. Putting in springs that are 600fps are good if... you have strong arms in the first place. Trust me, its hard to cycle a spring BASR that has springs that hard. Plus bolt handle that are available in the market arent strong enough to widthstand pressure like that.
My suggestions:
1. Ok or JP brand 500fps cylinder set. 2. Type 96 6.03mm tight barrel 3. Type 96 Zero trigger set 4. Barrel spacer
Same parts I have. This will give you 545fps.
Specify type 96 parts. It is not interchangeable with other maruzen class rifles or any other brand for that matter.
Custom works:
1. Rubber washer for the bolt assembly. Just buy a peice of hard rubber mat and cut it to shape for your bolt assembly to minimize movement. Have a sandpaper ready to thin out this washer to your specification.
2. Cork shaving. This is to compliment your barrel spacer. Stuff it in your barrel. Cork shaving and barrel spacers minimize inner barrel vibration. Good for accuracy.
Accesories available:
1. Type 96 bipod 2. Type 96 flash-hider (3 types to choose from) 3. Type 96 silencer
I suggest you buy medium scope rings for this. Its just the right height for aiming while wearing a screen sensie mask. But... if your wearing PB masks... get the high scope rings. Low scope rings are too low even if your sporting wiley-X goggles. Trust me, I have wiley-X goggles... I know.
Now the little things:
There is a little irritation with the hop screw adjustment. In time this will readjust by itself ruining your accuracy and set hop settings. Easy fix... set it to your ideal hop settings with the bb weight your using then use elmer's glue, stick glue or any removeable you can use and secure that screw once its set. Remove glue if you need to readjust your hop settings.
Another irritation is the mag catch. If your mag tends to move or falls from the mag catch, you need to tighten a screw located inside the catch below the mag release lever. its just one screw. Secure that with a removeable glue or loctite paste.
If your going to do upgrades on your own, I'm sure your going to ask me about the cylindrical brass nugget. Thats suppose to be dropped inside the air cylinder... if it is needed. Ask me when you get there. Its kinda hard to explain in written form.
After putting it all together and your piston doesnt latch on to the trigger catch, then you have installed your trigger set wrong. Check your sears. The wings must be placed on the right position. This is a common mistake done by newbie gunsmiths on BASRs.
Anymore questions just ask.
