Just want to share my personal experience with this BASR.
Got my unit via courier (parang ala atang nag bebenta dito sa DVO) upon opening the box I was impressed by the wood grain, very realistic. I ordered the fake woodstock version para maiba naman (ang DE M50 kasi black)
I had the unit teflon fixed from my supplier. Upon inspection, the fake woodstock is a single piece design unlike the M50 na may mga screws. And the design is much sleeker/slimmer. The stock is also designed to support the outer barrel from moving forward with regular use, unlike the M50 where only a screw holds it in the foregrip area. And one very good thing about this gun is that it has a METAL trigger housing! The M50 uses plastic.
Upon assembly, the MP001 is very light compared to the M50 and looks very slim and petite (pero sing-haba lang sila ang M50 ko, with all the butt plates installed). Cycling the bolt was very smooth (just like a TM VSR should). Using soda cans as chrono, punches the bottom and bottom side of the can with ease. I have'nt had the chance to chrono it, and have been plinking with it for more than a week and have used it in a game already. Though the stock chrono for this gun is somewhere bet. 400 - 405 FPS. It may go as high as 490+ after a teflon fix if you get a lucky unit.
What I like with this gun is its accuracy even with the stock barrel and setup. In our gamesite, I tried shooting at a target (yung plastic gallon suspended from a branch) from 100 ft. It hit the target with consistency, 4 out of 5 shots. And I am using .28 bb's on my unit.
Also when a scope is installed, and becuase of its light weight. The the gun still feels light, a very good thing when stalking and aiming at a target for a long time to get that quality shot. The balance is also good when you have the scope installed.
Another nice thing about this gun is that the butt is hollow and covered with a rubber pad. You can use it to store your bb loader and an extra mag if you want.
As for the price it is a little cheaper than the M50 (around 2.1K - 2.2K) Not bad for a Very Superb Rifle clone of a TM with the same stock performance.
Next, its upgrade time. . . . . hehehe
