Bloodied today.. sorry dax.. sorry tuy....
Internal upgrades:
-Settled SP120 from my AUG
-Stu Sector and Spur gear(stock bevel)
-GFactory aluminum piston body
-Systema aluminum piston head
-Guarder Hop packing(old- more later)
-Spring guide with bearing(forgot the brand, systema yata)
-5KU red motor
Stock components retained
-Metal bushings
-Bevel gear
-Airseal nozzle
-Cylinder
-Cylinder head
-Stock tight-bore barrel.
FPS needs a bit of explaining.
WIth the orignal G&G hop packing(the green one), i'd initially get an FPS reading of 449fps but it would suddenly drop to 200+ fps when the AEG somehow "lost it's compression".
I would dissasemble the hop assy, relube and reinstall and it would go back to 440+ fps for a few mags, then suddenly drop again to 200+fps. After doing this several times, I tried installing a worn out(very old) guarder hop packing from the bottom of my toolbox(puno na gud ug abog).
FPS dropped a bit to 430+ but at least the chrono was steady now. I ran several mags through it before the game and approx 4 mags during the game. FPS Still stable.
I'll secure a brand new guarder hop packing later this week and see if it can get back to the 449fps I had initialy with the G&G green hop rubber.
Additional notes:
-supplied Hicap mags work fine with my high ROF setup, but the spring isn't as strong as I wanted it. It would take 2-3 full winds of the spring to consume the entire contents of the magazine. That's a lot more winds than I care to do. I had borrowed a worn out china-made SLR type magazine from Hipper and it would only take 1-1/2 winds to consume the whole mag.
-Wood foregrip does not stand up well to bb Impacts. It now has several shallow dents and the varnish was nicked. I don't mind really, but if you want to preserve the pristine show-condition of your AEG, then i suggest you get an inexpensive set of china-made front furniture for gaming.
