BE Steyr AUG Secrets - Level 2

So that the info I share with the group isn't used(or ABUSDED) by less responsible players- I'm hidding the info here in the members-only section.

For an AUG to reach LEVEL-2, you definitely need to turn to TM parts. However, remember that TM parts cost TM money(TM-> TOO MUCH). Hehehe. ;D

The baseline upgrade is to install a more efficient piston/cylinder assembly in the BE AUG.

TM piston head=400,
TM cylinder=600
TM cylinder head=400
Sub Total=1,400 pesos.

FPS natin nya ay nasa 220-230fps pa lang. Noticable increase in range and power- without sacrificing durability and ROF. Sulit ba sya 1,400 na gastos mo? Nasa iyo na yun.

The next step would be to install a stronger spring. However, things aren't as easy as they seem. To install a stronger spring, you need to install stronger gears. If you install TM GEARS- you have to change motor PINION and PISTON BODY or else they won't match- iba ang teeth spacing ng BE at TM parts!

Dito naman- eto na uli damage mo:
TM stock spring 400p(2nd hand pero bagong tanggal sa bnew TM units)
TM stock gears 1,000
TM stock pinion 400p
TM stock piston body 600p
Sub Total= 2,400 na tayo. Grand Total=3,800

Sulit ba ang gastos? Ewan- parang hindi na eh. 250-270fps pa lang ang estimated FPS nito eh.

Finaly, Barrel upgrade ka na rin para wala nang sayang na hangin masyado. The BE AUG's aluminum barrel's inner diameter measures 6.2mm, but the stock TM Barrel has an inner diamter of only 6.08mm. Less ang singaw ng hangin overtaking the BB at mas accurate ang takbo ng BB natin. Accuracy and Power at the same time.
TM Barrel=700p

Grand total=4,500!!!

NOTE: Pwede nyo rin kabit ang TM Barrel with the stock BE Gbox. May accuracy advantage talaga sya pero konti lang ang power gains- mahina lang naman kasi ang buga ng hangin. Mas makita nyo ang advantage ng TM barrel pag malakas na ang buga ng GBOX eh.

Para di naman sayang ang pag-gamit mo ng TM parts- palitan na rin natin ang Batteries mo. Mas mabigat na kasi ang TM stock spring. Kaya mas mabilis ma-drain ang stock BE AUG batteries.

If you want to make another battery pack- don't over-do it llike I did. I'm not talking about my 10.8v 1,500mAH NiCd batteries- para talaga sa MARUI ko yun eh.

I'm talking about my 9.6v 1,400mah NiMh batts. Sobrang tagal ma-drain ang mga linteks na yun. Kaya yata two months of games eh! Diba Sir Gancho?

Kung gagawa ako ulit ng 9.6v batts for the BE AUG- 700mAH Sanyo NiCads lang ang gamitin ko. Baket?

Mas mura 'tong mga 'to(less than 50p each yata) at Sanyo naman eh- so TUNAY lahat ng RATINGS nya.

Naniwala ba talaga kayo na 700mAH ang stock batts ng AUG at 900mAH yung upgraded batts? Malamang mga 300mAH at 500mAH lang yung mga yun.

9.6volts lang ang gawin ko- di na 10.8. Bakit? Again dahil SANYO. Yung mga china na batts- bumabagsak ang voltage pag may LOAD na from the motor. Kaya yung 9.6v- nagiging 8v+ na lang kung tumatakbo ang motor. Pero kung SANYO na 9.6v... asahan nyo na 9.6v talaga ang buga nyan basta di lang sya drain!

Meron pa rin ROF advantage ang battey pack na 'to over the stock batteries. Verified na 'to sa ACM Games manila. As long as you use NiCd and not HiMh though...

Bakit NiCd? Would you believe- that a 1,000mAH NiCd is better for AEGs than a 1,500mAH NiMh?!!!

Yep. Malakas nga ang mAH ng NiMh- pero mas malakas ang power-delivery ng NiCd(discharge rate). And this is what counts with AEGs!

Ang disadvantage lang ng NiCd ay: kelangan mo talaga sya DRAIN ng mabuti before charging para di magkaroon ng MEMORY EFFECT ang mga batteries nyo.

Note: kung gusto nyo ng 10.8 na bats- ingat lang kayo. Baka masunog ng maaga ang motor nyo. Short full-auto burst lang para safe ang motor.

If you want to go ALL OUT and throw your money away on a BE/TM hybrid gbox, gayahin nyo lang 'to:

Systema Bore-up kit(cylinder, cylinder head, piston head)
Systema Polycarbonate piston body(red)
TM stock spring
TM stock gears
Eagle Force pinion gear

Magkano? Sabihin na lang natin na konting dagdag na lang STTI M4 AEG na 'to! STUPID DIBA???

Bakit ko naman pinatulan 'to?

Simple lang- yung TECHNOLOGY lang ang habol ko. How else will they share their know-how with us if we don't buy their stuff. Marami akong secrets na nakuha sa kanila dahil sa pagbili ko nito. Mas marami pa akong makuha pag binuksan ko na 'to mamaya. Pero subukan ko pa kasi muna b4 ko buksan- kaya relaks lang kayo.

Don't worry. DI pa naman ako nababaliw. May buyer na ako from HI-END airsoft para sa mga parts na 'to. Pag-tripan ko lang ng ilang araw then baklasin ko na lahat para i-benta ng chop-chop. Syet- kung mabayaran na lahat- downpayment ko na langa para sa STTI M4!!! Diba guys?

Update: Sinubukan ko na ang gbox na 'to kanina. Mas malayo nga sya sa range, pero di pa rin sya maka-pasok sa one side ng coke can. Level-I pa rin sya inspite of the high cost. Bottom line- Dili gyud sulit!!!

Mu-agi na akong amigo from SWAT unyang hapon. Kung type niya ang bore-up, baligya dayon nako sa iyaha. Pa-bilin lang nako ang gears para lig-on akong gbox.

Very well said sir Stan, though those stuff are really tempting pass muna ako. Sa akin lang kung gagawin mo yung klasing upgrade na yun medyo masyado na syang mahal.

Ang kaya ko lang siguro is yung Barrel upgrade at Battery upgrade.

I too believed na hindi tama yung maH rating na nakalagay sa mga AUG natin, lalo na cguro yung 900mah.

Probably my next project for my AUG is the Barrel and Battery upgrade

me too, I would go for the barrel upgrade....battery ko...sulit pa naman ako dun sa existing ko na dalawa....it was nice reading this...coz i don't really have a very high know how with this matters and i'm still learning.....

tsk....all this time i've been boasting that I have a 900mah batt...hehehe...

BTW, the prices in the original post are based on the Manila prices for "menudo" items.. there are "packages" available here in Davao for much less.. the contain used/slightly damaged parts from MARUI/CA AEGs.. but are still good enough for ACM use. I just had one done lately... damage- 2k na for the whole gbox(excluding spring). Problema lang ang availability ng mga "package" na 'to. I spent two weeks getting the entire package together... buti na lang matiaga ang may-ari. DOn't worry guys.. di sya ACM Davao member.

sir, may napansin ako dun sa systema bore-up kit cylinder.. sa side may butas. Ano kaya ang purpose nito.. hmm.. baka cguro ang purpose is to suck a large volume of air? somethin like magkaron ng vacuum effect after the piston assembly retracts.. hmmm.. gayahin kaya naten? "ported cylinder" na to kumbaga hehe!

denzel: the hole on the side that you are refering to equalize the amount of air that the piston/cylinder provides in relation to the barrell length. Para hindi kulang (w/c creates a vacuum effect) or sobra (which disturbs the flight of the BB's when exiting the muzzle). Tama ba ser Stan ang pagka explain? (Si ser Stan din nagturo sa akin ng info, just want to return the favor.)

sir stan, question lang po. i got a stock steyr (or rather used to have one)
my aug was ported and it already clocked 210 fps. stretching the spring caused it to clock at 230 fps. changing the spring to x120 and using a 8.4v 2000mah nimh batt well hindi na namin na chrono but we have tried the coke can test and it will put holes on the side. and i mean Big holes. but it wont pass thru the other side ng can. mga 6-8 shots, sira na ang can. We stopped na baka masira pa yung gears. but we were really amazed sa power ng aug. too bad di kaya ng stock batt ang x120 spring.

denzel- mali na naman ang assumption mo. Leave the stock Steyr AUG cylinder as-is. Tama na ang "computation" nyan for it's stock barrel- unless you want to cut your barrel to a shorter lenght that is...

My BE Steyr AUG started double-feeding last week so I had to break it down and search for the problem. Eventualy, I notice that the nozzle was already cracked and the tip was very badly deformed.

I could have simply replaced the tip with another BE NOZZLE since I have several spares on standby but I decided to try a hi-end airseal nozzle instead- just for fun.

The nozzle I got from Quatro was a Classic Army Airseal Nozzle for AUG series AEG(450p). The external lenght was the same as the BE nozzle but the internal and external diameters were different.

The internal diamater(yung butas) was realy small but it should match up perfectly with my TM cylinder head and it had an o-ring inside(hence the name air-seal). remember, this airseal nozzle will not work with the BE cylinder! You must have a TM cylinder head/cylinder combo(and piston, gears etc) for this baby to fit.

The external diameter was also slightly smaller but I didn't expect it to be a problem since even the BE AUG nozzle was also slightly smaller than the hop up assy.

Installation was a bit tricky since the airseal nozzle was a tight fit even on my TM cylinder head. I had to whip out my trusty "dremmel kuno" to reduce the size of the cylinder head nozzle and finish up with sandpaper to smoothen things out. After an hour or so... everything finaly came together and I was ready to test things out.

When I tried out the AUG, my double feeding problem was finally fixed. I could do semi-auto and full-auto firing without any misfeeding, or double feeding. As an added bonus- I found out that I could FULL-WIND my hicap(TM) without the dreaded "murag ihi" result! Lingaw kaayo ko!

There was also a perceptible range increase with the new nozzle. Of course, this was in comparison with the broken BE nozzle, kaya talagang may mapansin ako na improvement sa power nya. Iba talaga kung may chrono sana... haay... may order sana yun si BroJames na chrono pero di ako naka-sabaya sa kanya ksi ginastos ko sa hospitalization ni R2 ang pera... Next time na lang...

Yun lang sirs... share ko na lang 'to ksi di ako nakalaro kanina... kaya nangalikot na lang ako ng beng beng...
