It's a great buy sir.. the version-6 gearbox is one of the toughest there is.. only the version7 and version1 gearbox are as tough. Mas matibay pa nga ang version6 gearbox sa version3 eh!
Aestheticaly, it looks great! The wood grain finish is superb and the metal parts(there are a lot) are very nicely polished- mukhang baril talaga!
It comes with an EG1000 motor and it sounds awsome. Downside to the TM thompson would be the cost of upgrades. Bushings for the V6 gearbox costs 1,680p at Quatro... Air nozzles, Cylinder heads and tappet plates are hard to find... although everything else is same as other aegs.
Look at it this way... If I didn't already have a P90... I would already have bought a Thompson myself... mas nauna ko pa 'to na crushan kesa sa AK ko...

I've had mine for almost two years now and no regrets, specially since it pleases my dad too. I liked it so much that I didn't wait for the local shop to have a hicap and instead bought one in HK.
Among the WWII smgs, it's one of the better models. 'Had a M3A1 (grease gun) but it didn't work too well inspite its full auto blow back. The german counterpart MP something came out gas powered but was quite expensive that I passed it.
The other WWII stuff I have is the marushin M1 Carbine, gas very good fps, 8mm, can be used as a sniper rifle but was a single shooter and not semi-auto. I hope the coming M2 carbine has full auto.

Piece of advice:
Buy loctite paste and put a dab on all externals screws especially on the mock wood. It falls out. You dont want to be using electrical tape holding it up when the screws fall.

Special order na lang ang Thompson hicap at mga parts niya sir. However, the airsoft hobby shops here in Davao are very accomodating and can order the parts you need for you. Just give them a week or two for delivery.
Sir Chris is correct, same gbox as the P90.
Yes, you can use any helical or even FLAT Super Torque Up gearset on the V6 gbox. It's when you use Ultra, Infinite or Max-Torque guears that you'll have a problem coz the gbox will need modification for these gears to fit properly.

SAND, chris - sir thanks!
sir sand, 1 more question, metal na ba ang body? as far as i know the "wood" stock & foregrip are plastics.

Plastic nga po ang "wood" niya. But the metal is METAL- although not STEEL... kinda brittle if abused.. pero okay lang sa normal use.
