Repost ko na lang 'tong review namin sa FAS:
We've observed that the T3K is better for "inefficient" gear ratio setups due to it's higher torque(cranking power) but lower unloaded RPM.
On our three test units, we have very efficient gear/spring combos which don't take maximum advantage of the TORQUE of the T3K.
1. SP160 on Max Torque Gears and 10.8v 3600mah batts- ROF DROPPED when we replaced the SYSTEMA STU MOTOR with the T3K. The higher RPM of the SYSTEMA STU was a better match for this system.(sold his T3K and went back to his SYSTEMA STU Motor with Eagle force Pinion gear)
2. SP150 on Max Torque Gears and 10.8v 1500mah batts- ROF barely improved with the T3K when we replaced the EG700. I mean BARELY noticable. Motor whine is also louder(yes, we've adjusted the motor height).(I'm buying a SYSTEMA STU Motor and eagle force pinion gear after a month or two of testing this T3K motor)
3. SP140 on CA STU Helicals and 9.6volt 2400mah Sub-C batts. Used to have EG1k then the motor burned out... installation of the ICS T3K on this unit improved the ROF- but of course the old EG1K motor was already "dying" when we replced it.
I think we would have had better results with this motor if we had used it with an AEG with stock ratio gears pulling a PDI210/SP130/M130 or even a 140.
On the plus side- the motor runs cooler and seems to be more battery efficient since it's the strong magnets that give it "power".
Bottom line- It's goood... but not a cure-all. If you have an effecient gear/spring combo- get a motor with higher RPM. But if you like PUSHING your stock gears with heavy springs or maybe run your STUs with SP150s... then the T3K may just be the ticket for you.
PS- I wonder if the EAGLE FORCE HUMMER1300 has higher RPM. I realy need a higher RPM motor for my Max Torque setup...
