Thanks for the tip sir Subbiedoo. Unfortunately, we don't have a source of LiPoly batts here in Davao City. I know they're available in Manila but nobody seems inclined to re-sell these types of batteries here.

Btw sir subbie... which lipo batts did you pick? Which brand and which size? Do you think the sites you ordered from in HK will ship these batts to the Phils?
Are the wall plug type chargers good enough for these babies? Or Should I realy purchase one of those expensive digital chargers?

the best to use the digital chargers as LiPo will self ignite when over charged or shorted out ... and also they do not have any memory effects like NiCds so you can charge it whenever you can ... but thats where the problem is, you dont know how much charge it has left so the digital ones will be best ... you can try www.rcbandit.co.nz ... medyo mahal sya compared to HK, but you get the idea ... this is the charger i use ... www.rcbandit.co.nz/index.php?mode=display_product&id=55 ... and i just converted a computer PSU as a transformer so i can charge at home here's a list of LiPos ... www.rcbandit.co.nz/index.php?mode=categories&level=20 ... these are better than the ones i use as my one only has a peak discharge rate of 15C, these go to 30C and most of the better LiPo cells are made in Korea ... here's the pic of my AUG and P90 using the same 3-cell, 11.1v LiPo ... as you can see ... the 11.1v 2100mah LiPo is the same size and dimension as a 8.4v 600mah Mini!! i use it on either guns if im using it (not letting the GF use the LiPo coz of the very high ROF!!!) in fact, if you notice on the last pic, there's enuf space inside the AUG to even have a 4-cell 2100mah LiPo @ 14.8v!!! hahaha ... dont know if the mech box can handle a spring strong enuf to slow the ROF

I was about to cut the palstic plate of the AUG's GB to enable me to fit a 12 volt setup like the one picturedd above when I read that doing so would compromise the mechbox's stability inside the housing and thereby cause airleaks. Is this true?

It may cause instability, but it's easily fixed by reinforcing the remaining plastic plate with a sheet-metal plate.
