Just a few tips and tricks for the BE STEYR AUG lovers out there:
*don't over-fill your magazine. I usually remove 4-5bbs from a full magazine.
*Watch your HOP! Be carefull when you take apart your AUGs. You can loose your hop-up rubber and render your AUG inoperable. remember Gancho?
*Center and align your hop. If your BBs are curving to the right or left- adjust the inner hop up assy(yung black inner barrel assmbly where the HOP meets the barrel- it can be rotated). Keep the dimple in the 12 oclock positon para straight ang lipad ng BBs.
*Conditon/full charge your battery. Better kung may discharger kayo para full charge and full discharge cycles talaga kayo.
*Lube your gearbox. I was able to see some AUG gearboxes with minimal grease from the factory. And some with NO GREASE AT ALL!!! Para sure- open your AUGs and lubricate your gearboxes. Concentrate on the rubber o-ring on the piston, the nozzle, recoil spring guide, the gears and pinions, and all other moving parts(tappet plate, trigger contacts etc).
*don't use petroleum based oil. It'll ruin your plastic and rubber parts. Don't use harsh oils/solvents for real-steel guns(WD40 comes to mind). They're good for metal parts guys- bad for plastic.
*Clean your barrel. Thats' why we have a cleaning rod in the box guys- USE IT! Put a small swab of cotton on the end and moisten it with silicon oil or even baby oil. Swab the barrel several times to remove excess dust and bb residue. Make sure your remove your HOP assembly first so that it won't get damaged by the cleaning rod. Swab again with a dry patch afterwards para walang excess oil maiwan sa barrel.
*clean your HOP. Just remove the dust and other accumulated dirt with a soft moist cloth. Just be careful that you don't tear your hop or get oil/grease on it.
*clean your magazines. You can oil the internals of your magazines as long as you wipe it dry afterwards para hindi maging malapot ang inyo BBS with oil. You can take apart your magazines by removing the single screw at the bottom then sliding that part off the magazine. The magazine will now break apart.
BASIC TIPS pa lang guys. ADVANCED TIPS and MODDING TIPS to follow...
In the meantime, you can check out sir GANCHO's barrel cutting thread.

Lyle- yes sir.. cover the basics muna tayo before proceeding. We have to walk first before we can run diba. (nabitin ka no?) Relax lang sir... marami pa akong i-share sa grupo dito. hehehe... thanks to our resident alien sir MIKSKO of course.
ROSCOE- ur welcome bai. See you on the battlefield. ;D
GUYS- I can't stress enough the LUBRICATION of the GEARBOX part of my post above.
LUBE-UP should also be done regularly- after every 1000-2000 rounds nga sana eh. Or better yet, after every TWO games. Lalakas ang bato ng AUG nyo if the o-ring is properly lubed and mas tatagal ang buhay ng GBOX nyo.

I don't think so!
ACCEPTABLE MODS means that it will still be within the boundaries of ACM games in spirit and in technology. remember our slogan guys- less pain, MORE FUN!
ACCEPTABLE MODS:
*Spring Spacers- one of the most common mods for our ACM AEGs. Check out sir AMBUSH's thread here to see how it is done:
acmdavao.proboards44.com/index.cgi?board=teketeke&action=display&thread=1119500461
Be sure to check all clearances after you install your spacers. Make sure that the PISTON can still FULLY TRAVEL back and forward. See that the SPRING can also be compressed fully. Check that the gears are well lubed and aligned to avoid excessive wear and tear.
*O-RING replacement therapy. An active upgrade and preventive maintencance in one step. The piston o-rings on our AUGs are quite thin and wear out easily. Replacing this with a *slightly* thicker o-ring will improve the air compression efficiency of your gearbox and extend it's service life(bulok talaga ang stock o-rings ng AUG). If the O-ring is too tight, then your RATE OF FIRE will suffer since mabibigatan ang gearbox. Madali rin masira an gbox kung ganun.
*porting the piston head- also improve the pumping efficiency of the piston in two ways. ONE- during the forward movement- the air compression through the PORTS will actualy PUSH the O-RING into the cylinder walls- thereby improving it's SEALING characteristics. TWO- during the backward movement- the ports will allow air to rush into the cylinder void from the BACK of the piston aside from the FRONT ONLY(kung di ported ang piston).
*polishing the barrel- make the barrel smoother inside so that the BBs will pass through smoother and faster. Improves accuracy and power. Use an abrasive paste like GLO metal polish or super fine rubbing compound. Make sure you remove your HOP-UP or else masira ito!!!
*Replacing the batteries:
Option 1- BE STEYR 9.6volt 900mAH batteries. The stock steyr batteries are only 9.6volts 700mAH. These batteries offer more stamina at the same voltage and ROF.
Option 2- custom built 9.6volt 1,400mAH batteries. Same ROF but the higher amperage means that you charge your AEG batteries a lot less often.
Option 3. custom built 10.8volt battery pack- the higher voltage will mean that your MOTOR will turn faster and your AEGs RATE OF FIRE will improve significantly.
Warning- 12volt battery packs are popular with hi-end players since their AEG motors can take the higher voltages. The BE AUG might not be able to take the higher voltage or its lifespan might be significantly reduced. Proceed at your own risk

Sir Stan, can you give us some idea on how to go about porting the piston head?
BTW, thanks for the tips that you give about sa mga gear alignment, napalitan ko na yung O-Ring ng Steyr Aug ko..
Mabuhay ka...

Sir Stan, can you give us some idea on how to go about porting the piston head?

But, I have to test it sa battle field muna. :-)
All in all siguro masasabi ko it's one way of maintaining your AUG na rin. Tama kaya yun? :-)

Welcome back sir GEMBOYMAGZ!
Maka-kita bitaw ka na walay "secreto" among grupo dire- post gyud namo tanan dire sa internet for everybody else to see.
BUAK gyud dayon imong gbox ana. hehehe.

yes sir! murag mobo man pud ang spring yata sa mossberg.... ang mr 733 pud, taas gamay, giputlan lng nko. problem now is, ang battery. seems dali lng mahurot ang karga and murag na bug-atan na pud ang motor. been thinking of a 10.8v batt na 2100 mah... ipon sa ko wawarts! regarding sa mr733 spring... most likely magpa fabricate mi og springs kay murag impraktikal na man mopalit MR733 para kahoyan og spring hahahaha kung naa magpa apil, just PM me para maapil sa order or post na lng ta cguro poll dri sir stan ;D i think it would cost around 60-70 bucks. who wants 'em? nyways, i have the pics for the porting already.... post nko later this week kung ma transfer na nko sa computer.
