I fid this thread very informative, sirs! Thank you for sharing with us. However, i woul like to ask if porting the cylinder is also applicable with other ACM-AEG such DE M83 and GB SD6? Again thank you and more power!

Double Eagle gearboxes already come with ported piston heads.
I wouldnt' dare try port a GB piston head since the plastic is very brittle- siguro if i had a realy hi-speed drill press and a very very sharp drill-bit...
pero with a hand-dril and old bits... medyo kabado ako.

Has anyone tried using the X120 (china made) spring from Brojames for the aug? paki-transfer na lang if .

I've tried and installed FIVE of these springs already sir. I was even the one who suggested that he call it a "120" type spring kasi mas matigas talaga sya sa M100 and/or CA stock spring. However, I also told him NOT to recommend it for the BE Steyr AUG kasi sobrang tigas talaga.
On ALL the installations I've done, I've CUT FOUR COILS from one side of the spring to make it a bit softer. In it's TULI(cut)form, it's still tougher than a TM stock spring but slightly weaker than an M100... i'd say parang M90 (or "M95" kung meron man sanang ganun na spring).
I've tried one installation where I only cut TWO AND A HALF coils from the spring and the unit chewed up the anti-reverse latch after only FOUR standard cap mags! I then reduced the spring to my standard "four coil-cut" and it's still very powerful.
NOTE: even if installed in a gearbox sporting all-marui internals(metal gears etc)- the un-cut spring won't chew up the gears or piston but it is guaranteed to BREAK your gearbox after a few hundred rounds.
I've even confirmed this fact with a TEAM in MANILA who are notorious for their 400fps STEYR AUGS and even THEY shun this spring as being too strong in stock(un-tuli) form.
CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED!
However- this spring is a GREAT upgrade spring for the new WELL MP5 and M4 series! Or anybody with a hi-end AEG who doesn't want to spend for a 700+ peso spring from Systema, Guarder, PDI etc...

sir stan, can i still use the x120 spring but use a 7.2v 1800 battery? would a lower voltage help ease the stree on the aug's gears and gearbox, ergo, longer aug life?

sir, ano pong fps nung 4 coils na tuli at ng 2.5 coils na tuli? and if yung full spring, ano bang fps nito ? and what batt voltage and capacity ginamit nyo?

4coil tuli = 270+fps, 2.5coil tuli =280+fps, un-tuli = 300+fps(but gearbox longevity will suffer)!
a 7.2v batt may lower ROF, but the gbox impact shocks will still be the same- brutal! The first thing that will break will be your anti-reverse latch(after about 4 mags) hehehe.
Pahabol pala... eto yung principle behind the porting of the piston head.

Hello all, I'm new at this pero may ma share ako sa inyo. i think friend ko yung may-ari ng TWO AND HALF spring ang pinutol nyo and it chewed up the anti reverse latch.
actually, naayos namin yun. i fabricated an anti-reverse latch out of lead. nag tunaw ako ng lead and molded it to replace the chewed latch. hanggang ngyon ok parin ang bengbeng nya. in fact nakalaro pa kmi sa forest hill nung october 9 yata.
but the process of creating the lead anti reverse latch is still experimental kc out of five BE Augs na kinabitan ko, 3 lang ang ok pa. the other two BE augs still chewed up my lead anti reverse latch. post lng ako uli if perfect na ang trabaho ko kc it involves little knowledge on metalurgy or if may mahanap ako na ibang alternative.

Thanks sir Stan.
anyway gumawa na naman ako ng bagong antii-reverse latch. this time its made of a very durable plastic. as in astig gyud na plastic.
i made two pcs, ang isa, sinubukan ko ang ka-astigan nya. gi-dukdok nako ug hammer ang tumoy kung asa sya mahilis. syempre na dumpol parin sya pero medyo lang.
satisfied with the result, so i installed the second one on my BE AUG (ported piston, larger o-ring, stock spring pero may mahabang spacer to compress the spring, double stock battery) to test and played wargames the whole afternoon d2 lng sa village namin. so far ok parin ang latch na yon. were planing to play again mamaya para masubukan tlga.
if ok tlga il start producing ng marami and can sell it to a MUCH LOWER price than you sugested sir Stan.
it means we can mod our BE steyrs to the max!!!
