EVERY AIRSOFTER’S DREAM ENDED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE 6Th NATIONAL AIRSOFT COMPETITION.
ASG Cebu annually holds a national airsoft competition in Cebu City. It is the most prestigious of all airsoft competitions. It is the dream of every airsofter to be a delegate in the said competition because not all is privileged to join. They call it as the mother of all airsoft competitions. Only the best teams are said to be in such competition.
BARRACUDA-cdo won the competition based on facts and records. Sun-star Cebu(the media partner of the said competition) declared in a column of its newspaper that BARRACUDA was the champion stating therein the points garnered by BARRACUDA. Facts and records showed that BARACUDA-cdo is 80 points higher than ASG-davao but the game director and game master of ASG-cebu declared ASG-davao as the winner.
I don’t see the logic or legality for the declaration when it is so patently clear that BARRACUDA-cdo won the competition. It was said that a complaint was submitted by asg-davao minutes before the awarding just to prevent declaring BARRACUDA as the champion. A source also said that the game director and game master of ASG-cebu decided to let ASG-davao win because it is so shocking and unusual to let BARACUDA-cdo win when they had just entered the airsoft society. There are airsof teams who have been playing for years and they could never get the chance of joining the said competition, and here comes BARRACUDA-cdo, a rookie and suddenly wiped out everyone in the competition. Or maybe it is just because there is a common ground between asg-davao and asg-cebu? Is it “ASG”?
When BARRACUDA-cdo was announced as the first runner up, the team members quietly walked out joining them were 50 percent or more than 50% of the teams who joined the competition. The after-party at the International Convention Center ended shortly at 12midnight(walay ganahan magparty na tungod sa decision). Cebu’s very own YAWKOY and GAT had accompanied BARRACUDAs back to their hotels and were so ashamed in asking forgiveness for what had just happened.
ASG-cebu had just tainted its credibility. ASG-Cebu had just killed the sole dream of an airsofter. Ask any airsofter, their goal is to join the annual national competiton sponsored by biggest -ASG CEBU. but what happens now? Will there be another competition in Cebu? Will there be more airsofter teams willing to join? Or will there be less?
THE FIRST PRESS RELEASED BY SUNSTAR ON MONDAY ISSUE SHOWED ASG DAVAO 880. YOU WONDER WHY ON THE NEXT PRESS RELEASED DAVAO SCORED 980?? NOT THE PREVIOUS 880??? ASG DAVAO VS. TAGCORE GAME ENDED DUE TO A FIST FIGHT CONFRONTATION OR A BRAWL. THE GAME ENDED WITHOUT ACCOMPLISHING ANY OBJECTIVES AT ALL. THE RULES APPLIES TO THAT "A TEAM IS DECLARED A WINNER ONCE ALL OBJECTIVES ARE ACCOMPLISHED." THIS WAS THE GAME THAT INFLUENCED ASG CEBU TO CHANGE ITS DECISION IN DECLARING THE 6TH NATIONAL CQB CHAMPIONS 2-3 HOURS BEFORE THE AWARDING NIGHT ON SUNDAY..
NOW, WHO WON THE GAME BETWEEN ASG DAVAO VS TAGCORE? OBVIOUSLY ASG DAVAO... HOW? THROUGH A HEAD COUNT!!! THIS WAS REALLY TRUE... THE FIRST PRESS RELEASED BY SUNSTAR ON MONDAY WAS ALL RELEVANT AND TRUE BECAUSE IT WAS THE FINAL RESULTS GIVEN BY ASG CEBU OR WHAT WAS GATHERED BY SUNSTAR MEDIA RIGHT AFTER THE EVENT ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON. FEW DAYS HAVE PASSED, ASG CEBU TOLD SUNSTAR THAT THE REPORT WAS INCOMPLETE ASG DAVAO HAD A SCORE OF 980.. 980??? ANOTHER 100 POINTS??? I BET THIS WAS THE GAME BETWEEN ASG DAVAO AND TAGCORE WHICH ASG DAVAO WON BY A HEAD COUNT.... THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HEAD COUNT RULE AT THE NATIONALS. THERE WHERE TEAMS ALSO HAD A BRAWL THERE. BUT NO TEAM HAS BEEN DECLARED A WINNER.
MOST TEAMS FROM MINDANAO AND VISAYAS KNEW ABOUT THIS AND KNEW WHAT TEAM PERFORMED THE BEST AND EXCELED THE MOST...
ANYWAYS, THE RESULTS WERE ALREADY OFFICIAL.. CONGRATULATIONS TEAM ASG DAVAO FOR WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIPS... CONGRATULATIONS DAVAO!!!

Thank you Sir Threshborne, most probably you played last weekend, for the record we did not know the results up until the time it was announced. Yes, we indeed contested the results of our match with tagcore which was stopped due to commotions outside of the playing field, same goes with barracuda, if iam correct the game that they contested was a game shortened because of a commotion also outside the playing field. I will not be delving in the details pertaining to the outcome of the tournament. Logic is, if B-CDO was granted a win because of that premise, then why not grant ASG the same One thing i am really sure of is that we worked hard for this achievement, this was six years in the making, your insinuation that we negotiated our win minutes before the awarding is a little bit foul, as an officer and a MEMBER of the club i am bound by duty to defend our reputation. Sir, kung totoo man na negotiate namin ang panalo namin, do you really think that this thread would have existed? I think not, because just like you we also have DIGNITY, mas una pa kaming mahihiya kesa sa ibang tao, we will never claim anything that is not due to us more so a Championship. I believe that if this happened to you, you will have the same reaction i am having. Sir buti pa last kami kesa naman champion kami na hindi naman pala totoo. We cherish newbie airsoft clubs who achieve big, remember last year? AGTA was as young as B-CDO then and they won. 50% of the crowd walked out? Now who would walk out on two viva hot babes and keanna reeves? no seriously sir you are mis informed, most of the crowd were still there when the walk out occured, the only table that was cleared was the one occupied by B-CDO, if there is one thing admirable about cebuanos is that they are truly united, yawcoy was actively there, even danced around the stage intoxicated with their favorite beer, red horse. Certainly at the start of the fellowship night not many teams were present, TAGCORE for one didn't go to the fellowship night, now we cannot assume if this was out of disgust, but we can't assume anything either, but we can always hope for the better reasons why they chose to do so. There were many unfortunate occurrences during that tourney, certainly if you are a davaoeno you wouldn't consider as our winning unfortunate, would you? Please don't forsake our club because we won, and because we are ASG, that line of thinking is usually associated with persons with malicious intent and pardon the language a bit "shallow" ASG is always portrayed as the UPCLASS, RICH snobs, GOOD FOR NOTHING Airsofters by others and yet we exist, maybe because all these are false. Sir do join us, get to know the people in ASG and don't rely on false informations made up by people who for reasons unknown to us despise ASG. You too AZZKKR you are welcome to join, you have been criticizing us since URGENT FURY isn't about time that you really learned the facts behind your most hated fellow airsofters known as ASG Davao? who knows you might end up as one of us.  As this issue is dragging on, i am now more inclined to think that you are not from Davao and you will never share our joy, our happiness, and our fulfillment that after six long years we finally brought it home to Davao. No we cannot please everybody, but we will always try. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, GARBO NATO NI TANAN, for the record dili mi mu share ug garbo ka ninyo kung wala namo ni gidaugan ug tarung, ug gi kalisdan.. maulaw tawon mi ninyo mga sir. Specially to you sir threshborne, i know your frustrations are not directed towards us ASG Davao, but towards the events that unfolded, or towards the organizers, but in doing so you have inadvertently besmirched our name and belittled our efforts to win. No we did not go there expecting to win, our contingent was a rag-tag contingent, our regular players were not with us, fate brought us there and fate gave us the win, not our mother chapter and certainly not by CHEATING and AIRSOFT POLITICKING. Please address your concerns with the tournament host, ASG Cebu.
Please remember that ASG Davao has displayed enough of our character to the point of stopping you guys from entering the feild when a fight broke up between your team and another... to prohibit you guys from getting more yellow and red cards... lessening more your overall points.
I do hope you guys return the favor giving ASG Davao the same courtesy and respect.
