When I heard SSR/SSS-MosFET(SSR: Solid State Relay/SSS:Solid State Switching) for AEG way back several years ago from AirsoftMechanics,
I tried to check all the local Electronics Store here for the parts,
But found nothing, no exact MosFET correct value.
Fortunately, one my friend (now living in US), send me a lot of N-channel MosFET.
(To date, we have one MosFET N-Channel available locally.)
Now comes the Active Brake System,
P-Channel MosFET is needed but like the N-Channel still elusive,
Including the PPTC(Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient device) or commonly called Resettable Fuse.
Electronic Geeks Airsofter here have time and more Patience to gather all the parts completely than me.
Experimenting for other available parts, easily to install and they produced same Highly advanced and affordable SSR/SSS circuitry.
Lucky enough I got hold one from Terminusx.
The TMX PRO (Including the TMX Advance)
Terminusx's Specs,
TMX PRO:
-recommended for high speed and high fps setups
-prevents arching to prevent the corrosion of switch contacts
-20A Very low resistance fast trip thermal fuse
-over current and over temperature protection
-ESD, back current, motor voltage spike protection
-built-in heatsink
-increases battery and electrical efficiency
-increases ROF by 10%-20%
-prevents motor to overspin(Active braking)
-advance active breaking circuit
-built-in heatsink
-18awg low resistance silver wires
-dimensions: 2.6" x 0.6"
TMX Advance:
-recommended for high speed and high fps setups
-prevents arching to prevent the corrosion of switch contacts
-20A Very low resistance fast trip thermal fuse
-over current and over temperature protection
-ESD, back current, motor voltage spike protection
-built-in heatsink
-increases battery and electrical efficiency
-increases ROF by 10%-20%
-18awg low resistance silver wires
-dimensions: 1.8" x 0.6"
Package:
TMX PRO(Left) and TMX Advance(Right)
TMX PRO:
TMX Advance:
All includes with:
Angled terminal connector and Twisted Low Resistance Wire for IN/OUT:
The TMX Pro goes to my AK47 (with basic SSR/SSS-Mosfet already installed)
Comparing it with my Basic SSR/SSS-Mosfet, note with the fuse installed
The TMX Pro perfectly fitted inside my AK47 Stock
Cutting all the wires of my old Basic SSR/SSS-Mosfet
Old Fuse removed
Fuse not needed anymore, TMX(Pro & Adv) equipped already with resettable fuse.
I just want to have a long wires, for the purpose that I can pull the TMX circuit out from the AK Stock.
A much convenience for me, to easily check the circuit.
Installed
Testing
Checking for Active Brake
One thing with the Active Brake,
You can also still hear a moving gears after the moment you stop firing at full auto mode,
Active Brake circuitry activate and moves the internal parts to a rest position.
Done!
Testing with my AK Drum Magz firing 10~15seconds nonstop won't heat up the TMX Circuit.
I am using SP120 spring.
For TMX Advance Installation:
This is for my RPK, also with already installed Basic SSR/SSS-MosFET.
Cut all the wires,
Fuse also removed, TMX Adv circuit includes Resettable Fuse.
Replaced to TMX Adv
Testing, 10~15seconds full auto.
Same performance with TMX Pro except that the TMX Adv equipped no Active Brake.
I feel safe!
