You only get the approximate equivalent fps measurements/ratings if you compare springs that are measured in m/s and springs that are measured in %. Those springs dont give the exact same fps outputs... nearest equivalent lang.
Systema springs (M) have higher fps than the pdi and guarder brands (%) not because the other brands are weaker but it is measured differently.
... now finding the quality of the metal used for the springs is different. Look at the country that produced it. Best raw metals are from Spain and Japan. What kind of metal are used for sytemas? For PDI's? For guarder?
Now the coil spacing. Look at the pdi spring coil spacing and compare it with systema. There is a purpose for that and its not only for beautification.
Brand is a preference. Choose whatever you are comfortable with.
Based on my own experience:
My Beita spetz new m120 spring fps was clocked at 415fps using .25g bb. It went down to 390fps after 6 months... and settled on that fps until I sold it. I had this gun around 4... 5 years ago... dont remember anymore the exact year.... jeez I feel old.
My Steyr Aug new pdi190 spring was clocked at 425fps using .25g bb. It still clocks at 425fps.
I've had my steyr fully upgraded on my 2nd year as an ASG member the same day I bought it. How old is my steyr now? *wink
With regards to the new production line of pdi springs... that I do not have a clue. My guns never break down on me. Its has been opened for full upgrades only once then... opened only once a year for cleaning, maintenance and motor check up.

its normal na magbaba yan sir kc new springs will settle down to some point of use kaya dont wonder y bumaba ang FPS ng gun mo.

Other reasons on fps decease would be the following:
1. Cylinder air leak (Cracked gearbox/cylinder) 2. Damaged hop unit 3. Tored hop rubber 4. Damaged nozzle 5. Damaged piston 6. Heavier weighted bb used 7. Longer than usual inner barrels (those that the cylinder isnt capable of producing air for) 8. Damaged Chronograph 9. Wrong spring name
Reason is not always the spring.
PDI190% springs produces an approximate 425fps... but since thats an ACM gun I wouldnt be surprised i it doesnt utilize air from the cylinder effectively.
