No! on stopping tournaments! pero sana bawas bawasan lng yung tournaments, kasi halos monthly meron para masabik nman tau sa tourney, and sana limit din yng nagpapa tourney para di iba iba ang nag oorganized...kng pwede 2 in a year lng ang gawin para long preparation ang pag organize and kng mag champion ka tagal mo rin madadala ang title mo..

amen sir tripper.....one championship one title one belt di katulad ng nagyayari ngayon na daming mga tourneys....for example "THE 2007 One Airsoft Davao Championship Season" and the winners will be crowned "2007 1AD Airsoft Champions"

well it doesnt hurt to have one tourney per month. just make sure it is different from the last one. try sad lain not the usual diffuse the bomb scenarios. it just takes a little of imagination and creativity on the organizers part. Dont jump in to the bandwagon that can easily take out the excitemnt in joining tournys. You can also make an event not just a tourny always.
but i think the most important reason why we join tournys is the comaderie with fellow airsofters regardless of their reasons, affiliations, and mentality.
Hey dont forget the essence of your community...ONE AIRSOFT! that means for everybody! wherever they may be.

HALA!!!! na mali ko ug vote. nag tanga tanga na pud ko. libug man gud. MY vote is YES to tournaments. NO man gud tong akong na click kay abi nako "NO to Stopping the tournament" I guess the poll doesnt show the real votes.
maski pa daghan ta ug complains sa organizers, kay daghan sila mali or sipyat sa pag padagan, na lingaw man gihapun ta diba? It still give as memories of those games whether if its bad or good. Ayaw lang kaayo dibdiba ang dula so you will have fun in airsoft. If you start being so serious sa game then you will start loosing the fun. Have fun lang ta pre.

I'd say YES to tournaments!!! If your your reasons for not joining the tournaments are because the hosts can't handle the tournament well, marshal, being bias, etc. then don't join that particular tournament. There is nothing wrong with tournaments. It is in tournaments wherein you will be challenged and pleased with your hobby. When your team is declared the champion of a tournament, wouldn't you be pleased and become proud? if your team losses and never made a score in a tournament, wouldn't you be challenged to do better in the next tourney? all i'm saying is, tournaments are good for us airsofters. Don't be such a cute, accept reality, everything in our lives is all about competition... Without competition, we can never learn and we will never strive harder. If you don't like competition, then don't join tournaments, nobody's forcing you to join...=)

Nice thread sir Jojo.. healthy discussion here...
Just remember guys to respect the opinions of others and don't let this degenerate into a flame war. Usap usap lang tayo to keep us entertained until the next game/tournament.
Sa akin naman- I don't mind that we have tournaments... although I will say that i have yet to see a tournament that satisfies my criteria of a "fair" tournament. "Successful" tournaments- marami... kaso lang.. most of the time, "successful" for the organizers and not realy so "successfull" for the participants.(end of statement- wag nyo na dugtungan).
So sa "vote" ko... NO TO STOPPING(yes to tournaments)- we can only improve(how we run tournaments) if we keep on trying. If we don't try, then we wont know how to improve diba?
However- I have PERSONALY very low INTEREST or INITIATIVE to JOIN tournaments MYSELF. Opo- I fully support my friends, teamates and fellow airsofters interests in Joining tournaments- but I have NOT YET EVER PLAYED in a single tournament. EVER!!! Hanggang support role lang po ako... FOR THE RECORD po yan.
Reason- hehehehe.... tanongin nyo na lang ako in-person.

ok i participated my 1st ever tourney last weekend during the "OPERACION: BUSCA y DESTRUIR"...
not to mention the ASG kadayawan Invitational Game...for me not a tourney!
My 1st game appears that i did not fired a single shot...a running opponent shot his AEG indiscrimately that hit my palm 3 times and declared myself "hit'...
The Marshal ask me if my Aeg malfunctioning...i answered "no''...i am "hit"...i am assuming from him a little credit to answer back..."good Job"...but none...i am just proud to pullout my asz out the gamesite...
So i am enjoying now to be an Audience...saw many times that i don't want to see...many times!...still dishonesty prevailed at all times...
Following day...enjoying the moment that i "kill" many opponents and even "hit'' me with a so called nine lives (hate to mention the word "Z")...
I love to attend again another tourney...an interclub(1AD) host only...
and hope no more... ''MARSHAL CALL"... DECLARE YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY!

Teen newbie a.k.a "n00b": Highly motivated, although might lack cohesion and understanding of the big picture. Hardcore: Long-timer with plenty of knowledge about everything in airsoft. He might be or be not involved in so called “airsoft politics”. sir, ano tawag sa "Long-timer with plenty of knowledge about everything in airsoft, although might lack cohesion and understanding of the big picture"? meron din kasi ganun eh. ;D
